Active Earth Club
The ACTIVE EARTH club
Active Earth is a 'nature sports club' combining adventure tourism, expeditions, environmental projects, charitable ventures and outdoor education.
Active Earth is managed and maintained by the Active Earth Association, which is comprised of ExplorAider, associated ventures and club members.
Active Earth facilitates a medium for connecting individuals of a similar mindset to aid their missions, dreams and ambitions.
Through a regular newsletter and an interactive website we aim to:
- Raise awareness for scientific / environmental events and issues that accord with the clubs aims and values.
- Introduce members to nature sports that are new to them.
- Offer members the chance to get involved in environmental projects on their gap years and sabbaticals.
- Introduce members to charity challenges and sporting raids.
- Encourage and provide a facility for organising Club Events where members organise their own nature sports trips, eg. cycling, climbing and kayaking trips.
- Organise regular expeditions for our members. (upcoming expeditions include an attempt at an unclimbed peak in the Tibetan Himalaya this November and a circumnavigation of France using only environmentally friendly means of transport, that is ski's bikes, legs, parapents and roller blades!)
Registration is free, very simple to do and can be cancelled at any time. Your personal details will be kept by Active Earth and will not be passed onto any other party unless you specifically request us to do so.
Registration will allow you to host your own club events, to participate in other club events including our expeditions and to contribute news stories to the website and the newsletter.
