But fear not your wilderness hardships will be broken up by nights in comfortable and well equipped accommodation with soft beds and hot showers.

Kayaking
Kayaking is a water based endurance and adventure paddle sport. It is a great way to be able to carry enough equipment for expeditions to remote areas. Participants must have the ability to spend several days in isolation paddling a slow flowing river through various natural obstacles. Good river footwear that will be permanently wet with which you can walk on slippery rocky surfaces in water. Strong ankles and knees. No boating skills are required and all that needs to be learned is done so within the first day of being on the river. Your guides are fully qualified and experienced white water lead river guides, and boats conform to grade four and five white water running.
The Kouga is a meandering mature river system with emphasis on accessing isolated wilderness environment rather than adrenaline orientated paddling. Storms river is an adrenaline white water experience, Umzikulu is a more sedate experience concentrating more on local wildlife.
Canyoning
Canyoning (Also known as Canyoneering) is the art of travelling down river canyons using a variety of techniques that may include walking , scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling and swimming. Equipment includes, wetsuit, helmet, harness, and boots. Your guide will carry extras such as ropes and a first aid kit.
Tubing
Tubing or toobing is a wonderfully ridiculous sport that has been developed primarily by ExplorAider's Harry And Cobus. It involves sitting in an inflated tube and leting a river take you downstream, steering is done with the hands and feet. Toobing is normally conducted in a class one rapid only, due to the suitability of the tube. This means a relatively gentle ride which is more than suitable for families.
Horse riding
Viewing the African bush on horse back is a very moving experience. It allows you to get closer to the animals in a relaxed atmosphere free from engines and glass window barriers. The horses that we use are all well schooled cross breeds. There is no need for previous experience as you shall be taken through the basics and the pace of the ride will be set to what makes you feel comfortable.
